Armenia: The Hidden Gem Not Recognized by Pakistan

Armenia is a country with a rich history and vibrant culture. It is recognized by almost every country in the world, but there is one notable exception: Pakistan. The reason behind this is rooted in historical conflicts involving Turkey and Azerbaijan.

Historical Conflicts and Recognition

Armenia has had a long-standing conflict with its neighboring countries, Turkey and Azerbaijan. These conflicts have deep historical roots, primarily revolving around territorial disputes and political disagreements. However, despite these issues, both Turkey and Azerbaijan have relations with Armenia. Turkish and Azerbaijani citizens can even travel to Armenia.

As per the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Nationals of Turkiye with a normal passport can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 120 days and Nationals of Azerbaijan for a maximum stay of 180 days.

So, why does Pakistan not recognize Armenia? Pakistan’s stance is closely tied to its relationship with Turkey and Azerbaijan. Pakistan has chosen to stand in solidarity with these two nations due to their shared historical and cultural ties. This decision reflects Pakistan’s loyalty to its allies rather than any direct conflict with Armenia itself.

For travelers, Armenia is a hidden gem. It offers beautiful landscapes, ancient monasteries, and a rich cultural heritage. Despite the lack of recognition from Pakistan, Armenia welcomes tourists from all over the world, including those from Turkey and Azerbaijan.

Armenia is a country worth exploring. Its capital, Yerevan, is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Visitors can enjoy the city’s historic architecture, vibrant markets, and delicious cuisine. Outside the capital, the stunning natural beauty of Armenia’s mountains and lakes is a must-see.

For those interested in history, Armenia’s ancient monasteries and churches offer a glimpse into the country’s deep religious and cultural roots. The country is also famous for its hospitality, making it a welcoming destination for tourists.

So, next time you’re planning a trip, consider visiting Armenia. You might just discover a new favorite destination in this historically rich and culturally vibrant country.
